David Guetta in Rome
On the 2nd of February at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome, the DJ and producer David Guetta will perform the sounds that have made him a world figure.
Guetta is one of the leading figures of House / Dance electronic music and has been considered the best DJ in the world by the Internet TheDjlist and magazine DJmag.
David Pierre Guetta, born in Paris in 1967, of french father and a Belgian mother, his beginnings in music go back to when he was 17, working as a disc jockey at local clubs, including the well-known “Les Halles”
During the decade of the ´80s and ´90s, David Guetta, along with a team and associates, including his wife Cathy Guetta , set about managing different parts of the Parisian nightlife, especially in the Pigalle district , formerly a depressed area that became a hot spot for fun and dancing over the years.
Places like “Tanjia” in the capital of Morocco and “Sweet Bar” in Paris, become his and he become the director of the “Pink Paradise” with his wife. He also engages in directing venues such as “Les Bains Douches”.
By the mid-90s, he began his presentations outside of France, in scenes of great relevance such as Berlin and Spain.
With the sale of the shares of the various local sites acquired in the past decades , he then was devoted to the work of producing , creating Gum Productions and releasing, well into the twenty-first century, his first album: Just a little more love in 2001
In 2004 he released his second album titled Guetta Blaster and three years later Pop Life (2007).
In 2009 he released his most successful work to date, One Love, a studio album which includes the singles When Love Takes Over and Gettin Over You, hits that reached number one in the UK. In 2011, Nothing But The Beat appears and is reissued a year later with the collaboration of Alesso, Taped Rai and Nervo, among others.
Some of his memorable performances have been participating in the Spanish Creamfields Festival 2005, his collaboration in 2009 with the Black Eyed Peas in one of his works and a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson,
At present, in addition to permanent tours like this one that leads him to the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome, he is working as a DJ in the highly known disco Pacha Ibiza and of course his work as producer still develops.
In April of 2012 he created a record label called Jack Back Records and released his first album entitled Metropolis, along with those of other artists such as Spencer & Hill and Nicky Romero.
