“Excuse me, but I want to marry you”, proposes Federico Moccia in his new novel, sequel to the runaway success “Perdona si te llamo amor” (Excuse me if I call you sweetheart).

He has caused quite a stir in the publishing world after the runaway success of his novels “ A tres metros sobre el cielo”, “Tengo ganas de ti” y “Perdona si te llamo amor” which have all become must reads, especially for Italian women. His new novel “Perdona pero quiero casarme contigo” (Excuse me, but I want to marry you) promises to be a smash hit as well.

This book tells the love story of Niki, a young student in her last year of high school and Alex, an older professional, and gives readers a glimpse of the barriers and social prejudices the couple must face to defend their love.

The passionate love story continues in the second part, in the novel “Perdona pero quiero casarme contigo” where Moccia, declares, “I try to deal with all the deep-seated fears that arise with a marriage proposal”.

Niki and Alessandro continue to be that couple that live an incredible love story which has its rocky moments, and Moccia tries to illuminate the roots and complexities of their problems.

After having lived magical moments on the island of Blu, the couple is more prepared than ever to fight the good fight and follow their hearts.

Alessandro goes back to palling around with Flavio, Ellos, Pietro and Enrico, who are all confronting difficult times in their marriages.

Niki gets back together with her friends, and finds that going back is not always easy. The book allows the reader a chance to read many definitions and perspectives on love.

This collection of reflections on what is love, how long it lasts and what it feels like, according to Moccia, also aims to get to the bottom of fears and insecurities that sometimes keep a relationship from functioning.
