Mystery Jets present Radlands in Rome
If you are a fan of British pop-rock we will suggest you a tour by a group that will fit perfectly with your preferences.
The lucky group are the Mystery Jets, and the time and place specified is on December 13 at the Circolo degli Artisti Rome. If it does not ring a bell , you must know that this great band has been active since 2005, when they unveiled their first album “Making Deans”. Although their singles have reached great heights in the charts, Mystery Jets are recognized for their work in “brit pop” style.
The reason to have them back on stage, of course, is the release of a new album this year 2012. Radlands is the fourth album by Mystery Jets, and fans have noticed the change they have been experiencing since their debut CD Making Dens in 2005.
They really wanted to capture a different feeling and a new sound for the album, so they changed from London where they were born as a group to the rough grasslands of .Texas. Their new recording location was done on a farm on the banks of the Colorado River near Austin.
The result of this recording is a generous album with 11 new songs that you can hear in about 52 minutes. One of the most important points that characterize the new work by Mystery Jets, is that in this live tour they are not counting with the bassist that produced the CD, since practically coinciding with the release of the CDKai Fish announced he was leaving the band. So now they have Pete Cochrane on bass.
The album starts with great strength, with the song named after the albums title: “Radlands” a wistful yet powerful sound that gets you hooked from its first notes and that takes you to the desert they sought to lead you to.
“Greatest Hits” is another track that hits hard at concerts, the 60´s are subjected to the chords of this “happy song” that has a good dose of “Shalalala” whacky choruses in it.
Surely this is a record to listen to from start to finish and get in the mood for the concert. The tour will pass through the UK, France, Netherlands and will have three concerts in Italy in December: 13 in Rome, Bologna 14 and 15 in Magnolia.
Do not miss this great band, soak up their discography and within minutes you will be convinced to go to one of their concerts. For more information: http://mysteryjets.com/tour/
