One of the most interesting and exciting festivals for all the street artists and art lovers in general is about to start. This is a wonderful event, where many artists display their skills and creativity. Very often, the improvised shows are the most beautiful. TolfArte festival is held near Rome, in Tolfa. It is organized by young people who are responsible for the preparation of the shows and the summer festivals in the town.

This is the fourth edition of this street and crafts festival, which presents exhibitors, artists, painters, sculptors, musicians, acrobats, poets and actors that celebrate their artistic world, each one with their own ability.

The festival has two sections: a stable one, where there are exhibitions by local, Italians and European artists (it is held in the historic buildings of Tolfa); and the live performances in which musicians, jugglers, acrobats and actors act in the typical streets of the town. The historic centre of the town will be illuminated with a thousand lights for the occasion.

This year the main topic of the festival is the respect to the diversity understood in a wider sense. There will be a strong emphasis on the multicultural nature of the participation of artists from the Academy of Romania, as well as many other European countries. The Festival opens on July 31st with a tribute to Fabrizio De Andrè, a famous Italian singer, who has dedicated his music to the diverse history of the common people.

Everything begins on August 1st: more than 100 artists will play and act for the public. On August 2nd there will be live music and theatre. Maybe you can express your artistic specialty because you can also participate in the performances !
